So I finally finished the redo of my last order from a client. Initially, I had started out making this order to suit my clients request for wall letters of her grandson's name to match his nursery shown below.
I was given only the direction that she wanted a nautical theme, but I guess my first attemp didn't quite hit the mark, so I offered to rework the piece. She wanted to have more navy blues and reds on the letters and she wanted it to have more of the classic nautical look.
Using Stapin Up! designer papers in the "Nautical Expedition" theme, I gave the piece a more nostalgic look, staying true to what she wanted for her grandson's nursery.
I struggled with this latest piece, but I think it came out nicely when it was all said and done. It's interesting how just a bit of reworking and details can change the look of an order.

All you need is PINK?
What girly girl doesn't love PINK? A new customer wanted a special Mother's Day gift for her mom. She gave me just one request " I want to get the word PINK in the 8 inch size letters. If possible, I’d like to get the hottest and brightest pink you have for them."
I was a little reluctant on this one, as it required me to paint the base letters HOT PINK instead of the more neutral white. So off to the craft store I went. I found the most brilliant "Hot Pink" spray paint by Krylon and started on my mission.
She picked it up today and seeing it for the first time she exclaimed "Those are sooo cute!!! Thanks so much!!!"...
Another satisfied customer, I just love making clients happy. In my opinion the world could use a little more PINK!

Green with Envy...
A new customer requested her sisters' name "KAREN" in greens and blacks. She describe that she didn't want anything too girly and wanted it to be more current. I think this hit on all points, what do you think?
I added just a touch of paper flowers and used metallic embossed designer papers to finish off the look.

What's in a Name?...
Been so busy lately with Mother's Day, Birthdays and baby shower planning... I haven't had a chance to post some of the newest orders I compleated this month. Here are just a few.
My latest customer wanted a nautical theme of her 1st grandson's name Marcus for his nursery that is also decorated in the same theme. This was my first time creating something, compleated masculine. Not using any flowers, was kind of a new experience for me.
I think these turned out great for my first attempt, but I am going to be reworking some of the letters to include more reds and navy blues. I'll post new pics when it's compleated.
